Clyde & Co seeks an experienced Property Coverage Litigation Attorney to handle insurance coverage matters in California, joining a collaborative team in a fast-growing region. You will participate in all phases of complex litigation and advise clients on strategy, with emphasis on sensitive, high-stakes matters.

Ideal candidates have California bar admission, strong research and writing skills, and experience in insurance coverage or related litigation.

Qualifications

• Admitted to practice law in California and in good standing with the bar.
• Insurance coverage experience is preferred, but we are open to considering candidates from other areas of litigation that are interested in insurance coverage litigation.
• Excellent academic credentials and/or solid work history.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Interpersonal, leadership, and mentoring skills.
• Ability to handle matters of a highly sensitive nature.
• Ability to handle time sensitive matters.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.

• Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly.

Responsibilities

• Participate in all phases of complex litigation from case inception through resolution, including trial preparation and trial support.
• Collaborate directly with partners and clients on case strategy and litigation management.
• Conduct legal research, analyze findings, and draft memoranda.
• Prepare and analyze pleadings, discovery, motions, supporting briefs, and legal correspondence regarding insurance coverage litigation.
• Meet and confer with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties.
• Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations.
• Take a proactive role in managing matters, deadlines, and communication with clients.
• Analyze insurance policies and claim materials, draft coverage opinions, and provide recommendations for clients;
