Clyde & Co US LLP is seeking a highly motivated attorney with 6+ years of experience in complex insurance coverage litigation, preferably in California. The role emphasizes leadership in handling cases, strong drafting, and independent work on coverage opinions and pleadings.

The position focuses on liability policies across industries, with opportunities for client engagement, motion practice, and appearances at depositions and hearings in Southern California.

Qualifications

• Excellent academic credentials.
• Admitted to practice in California.
• Admitted to other states (TX, NY, WA, or CO) is an asset.
• Ideally 6+ years of experience in complex insurance coverage litigation matters.
• Experience in commercial general liability.
• Federal court experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze insurance policies, drafting coverage opinions and providing coverage advice and recommendations to clients.
• Conduct complex and rigorous legal research and analysis, and draft memoranda.
• Draft and review pleadings, memos, briefs, discovery, motions with supporting briefs and other legal correspondence.
• Prepare formal correspondence to opposing counsel and other parties.
• Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations as required.
