Clyde & Co US LLP seeks an Associate with 3–6 years of insurance experience to join our insurance coverage practice in Texas. The ideal candidate is a bright attorney, excellent writer, proactive, with the ability to manage a caseload and lead matters independently.

Responsibilities include analyzing first‑party policies, drafting coverage opinions, assisting in federal and state litigation, drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, taking and defending depositions, and coordinating with clients

Qualifications

• Admitted to practice in Texas; insurance coverage and first party property, product liability, and premises liability experience preferred.
• Litigation experience required.
• Excellent legal writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze first-party insurance policies and draft coverage opinions for insurer clients.
• Assist in federal and state litigation, including declaratory judgments.
• Draft pleadings, motions with briefs, and mediation statements.
• Correspond with opposing counsel, clients, experts, and the court.
• Conduct legal research using Westlaw/LexisNexis and manage discovery.
• Take and defend depositions; locate and manage experts; travel as needed.
