The ideal candidate will lead compliance programs, conduct audits, and stay current with housing regulations. Requires 3+ years in affordable housing compliance and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Compliance Specialist in multifamily affordable housing.
• In-depth knowledge of LIHTC program regulations and HUD requirements.
• Provide leadership and oversight to on-site staff.
• Familiarity with HUD programs; HOME knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent mathematical skills for financial calculations and reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Willingness to travel for site visits and audits.
• HCCP certification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Implement and oversee LIHTC/HUD compliance programs.
• Conduct lease-ups and ensure ongoing program compliance.
• Perform internal audits to verify regulatory adherence.
• Review and verify documents for compliance purposes.
• Provide training to staff on compliance expectations.
• Collaborate with departments to ensure organization-wide compliance.
• Prepare and submit compliance reports to Owners, Investors, and Regulators.
• Stay updated on changes in LIHTC and HUD regulations.
