Job summary

Greystar Management Services, LLC is seeking a Property Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of a multifamily property in the Baytown, TX area. You will lead the on-site team, manage budgets and revenue goals, ensure compliance with housing laws, and drive resident satisfaction.

The role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and communication skills to partner with owners, vendors, and university representatives while upholding Greystar standards.

Qualifications

• M.Ed or Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business Management, Communications, or related field from an accredited college or university.
• 4-6 years minimum of relevant experience in residence life and/or property management.
• Knowledge of equity and inclusion issues and laws that impact higher education and particularly community living (FERPA, all gender spaces, Title IX, affinity-based living learning communities, ADA compliance).
• Ability to implement problem solving strategies to manage everyday residential challenges such as crisis response, conflict management, community development, and student/family concerns.
• Compassionate and diplomatic with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and self‑motivated with the ability to work independently, as a leader, and a collaborative member of a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop budgets for the property by analyzing financial statements and market data.
• Set rent rates and ensure timely collection of rent and fees.
• Approve invoices from vendors and manage communications with stakeholders.
• Control expenditures within budget and manage petty cash.
• Oversee lease enforcement, inspections, and notice requirements.
• Engage with housing officials and university partners to ensure compliance and policy alignment.
• Analyze market trends and implement marketing and leasing strategies to meet occupancy and revenue goals.
• Promote resident satisfaction and address service requests promptly.
• Conduct regular property inspections and supervise maintenance and staff.
