Nationwide is seeking an experienced Manager, Claims - Field Property to lead a regional claims unit in the Downstate New York area. This role emphasizes leadership, mentoring, and driving performance in property claims handling while delivering superb customer service.

The ideal candidate has eight years in claims, strong leadership, and the ability to work through ambiguity. CAT duties, cross-functional collaboration, and driving workforce plans are core to the role.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or post-graduate studies preferred.
• State licensing where required (as applicable).
• Eight years related experience in claims settlement, handling or management preferred.
• Supervisory, training and/or claims consulting experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Lead a claims unit within a geographic area.
• Review, adjust and pay property damage claims.
• Manage customer satisfaction and control expenses; monitor loss cost objectives.
• Support local recruiting with HR and claims leadership for workforce planning.
