Job summary

Millennium Insurance is seeking a dedicated property claims examiner to join our claims team. You will investigate property damage, analyze policy coverage, and collaborate with policyholders and contractors to assess claims accurately.

The role requires at least 1 year of property claims experience, strong communication and negotiation skills, and proficiency with MS Office and claims software. A valid driver’s license is also preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ year property claims handling experience
• Knowledge of property insurance policies, coverage and claims procedures
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Proficient with MS Office and claims management software
• Xactimate and XactAnalysis experience is a plus
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License

Responsibilities

• Investigate property damage claims, may conduct site visits and collect evidence
• Analyze policy coverage to determine claim scope and validity
• Collaborate with policyholders and contractors to gather information
• Use estimating programs to ensure precision and prepare settlement recommendations
• Negotiate settlements balancing guidelines and customer satisfaction
• Prepare detailed reports with findings and recommended settlements
• Maintain compliant claim files and documentation
• Provide timely customer service and status updates
