Job summary

Jonus Group is recruiting for a contract-to-hire Property Claims Adjuster with a respected national property and casualty insurer. As an Associate Property Claims Adjuster you will support policyholders through the claims process after an unexpected loss, developing claims expertise in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

The role offers a hybrid schedule (2–3 days in office, 2–3 days remote) with initial in-office training, a comprehensive training program, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or currently in progress.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in customer service or related fields.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
• Ability to multitask and navigate multiple computer systems.
• High emotional intelligence and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and maintain required adjuster licenses and continuing education requirements.
• Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and assist in resolving low complexity claims.
• Exercise sound judgment and discretion throughout the claims process.
• Communicate with customers to verify coverage, liability, damages, and claim details.
• Deliver professional, empathetic customer service through phone, email, and other communication channels.
• Identify potentially suspicious claims and collaborate with investigative resources as needed.
• Obtain recorded statements when necessary.
• Participate in formal training programs and ongoing development initiatives.
• Maintain appropriate remote-work capabilities, including reliable internet access.
