The Jonus Group is recruiting for an Associate Auto Claims Adjuster on behalf of a respected national property and casualty insurer in Worcester, MA. The role supports policyholders through the claims process and offers a path to permanent placement through a contract-to-hire arrangement.

The position emphasizes claims expertise development in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment with training and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

2+ years of auto claims handling experience, including liability investigations.
Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
Active adjuster licensing or ability to obtain and maintain licenses.
Experience in high-volume phone and claims environments.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Guidewire a plus.

Responsibilities

Manage a pending inventory of 80–120 auto claims from intake to closure.
Investigate coverage, liability, damages, and claim exposure for timely resolution.
Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to support investigations.
Identify subrogation opportunities and assist recovery efforts.
Recognize potentially fraudulent claims for further investigation.
Establish reserves and issue payments within authority levels.
Use claims management tools to operate in a paperless environment.
Provide empathetic, customer-focused service during sensitive conversations.
