Job summary

Grays Harbor County is seeking a motivated assistant to support the Assessor's Office in preparing assessment records and data entry for mapping, appraisal, exemption programs, and personal property staff.

The role involves welcoming the public, answering questions about property assessments, and performing data verification in our office software, with occasional field visits to gather information and research historic records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of experience in the real estate field.
• A valid Washington State driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Desirable: 1 year experience in an Assessor's Office.
• Knowledge of GIS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist mapping, appraisal, exemption, and personal property staff with documentation and data entry.
• Provide customer service to the public by phone and in person.
• Verify and input data into Assessor's office software.
• Occasional field visits to properties to gather information.
• Research historic records of varying content.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
