Job summary

Washington County Assessor's Office seeks a Real Property Specialist to provide technical and office support for the real property assessment program, while serving as a public point of contact. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and clerical/office experience.
• Two years of clerical or technical office experience involving duties related to real property assessments.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and professional customer service to the public by phone and in person.
• Research, collect, verify, and maintain real property and sales information.
• Research parcel splits, combinations, ownership, and property records.
• Process, scan, organize, annotate, and maintain electronic and paper records.
• Maintain databases, spreadsheets, and other data management systems.
• Coordinate the collection of building permits and related information from municipalities.
• Prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, educational materials, and other documents.
• Process assessment-related billings, payments, refunds, and data calculations.
• Assist with appeals and prepare documentation for the County Board of Equalization.
• Proofread and review documents and reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Perform mathematical calculations, reconcile totals, and prepare data and estimates.
• Coordinate assessment activities with County departments and appraisal teams.
• Maintain office inventories, resources, files, and records.
