Todd County is seeking a Real Property Appraiser to appraise residential, agricultural, and other properties for tax assessment. You will compute values in the CAMA system and explain classifications and tax implications to taxpayers.

The role requires familiarity with GIS/CAMA, a high school diploma with assessment coursework, and certification/licensing as an assessor within specified timelines. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED with coursework in assessment or related fields.
• Familiarity with GIS applications, CAMA, and data processing.
• Certification by the MN State Board of Assessor within one year of hire.
• Licensed Accredited Minnesota Assessor within five years of licensure.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Must pass a criminal background check.

Responsabilidades

• Appraises and classifies residential, agricultural, seasonal recreational, mobile homes, and other property for assessment.
• Compute county property values through the county CAMA system for assigned areas.
• Explain tax laws and procedures to individuals and groups; respond to questions about value and taxes.
• Attend board of appeal & equalization meetings as requested.
• Maintain and update county CAMA data and related records.
