Job summary

Ares Management is seeking a Staff Accountant to join the Industrial Property Accounting team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You will handle day-to-day property accounting tasks, including bills, reconciliations, and monthly reporting, while ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

The role requires a detail-oriented mindset, the ability to multi-task, and strong communication. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and proficiency in Excel are essential.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of relevant experience in a high-volume environment preferred.
• Experience with Yardi and/or AvidXchange preferred.
• Must be analytical with strong communication and detail orientation.
• Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment and meet deadlines.
• Ability to self-manage and exercise professional judgment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance demonstrating a strong academic record.

Responsibilities

• Prepare direct bills, late fees, and one-time charges for tenants.
• Maintain an accurate aging report including tenant credits.
• Review cash receipts daily with AR Specialist.
• Coordinate with Third-Party Property Managers on operations.
• Review accounts payable for accuracy.
• Prepare month-end journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and reporting packages.
• Prepare monthly CAM and yearly CAM reconciliations.
• Assist with yearly budget preparation.
