Landing Point in Boston is seeking a Senior Property Accountant to manage the full property accounting cycle for an industrial assets portfolio and to support monthly close, financial statements, and reporting.

You will analyze variances, maintain tenant accounting, review leases, track capital projects, assist with budgets, and coordinate with property managers and auditors to ensure accurate financial reflection and controls.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
  • 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in CRE.
  • Strong GL, month-end close, and financial reporting experience.
  • Experience with tenant accounting and lease-related activity.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full property accounting cycle for an assigned portfolio of industrial assets.
  • Prepare monthly property financial statements, reporting packages, and schedules.
  • Perform monthly close activities, including journal entries and accruals.
  • Prepare balance sheet and bank reconciliations; review tenant receivables.
  • Analyze monthly results against budget and forecast; investigate variances.
  • Maintain tenant accounting, billings, escalations, and reimbursements.
  • Review leases and amendments for accurate financial reflection.
  • Track capital projects and project-related costs.
  • Assist with budgets, forecasts, and cash-flow projections.
  • Coordinate with third-party managers and audit teams; resolve discrepancies.
  • Support quarterly and year-end reporting and tax workpapers.

A vertically integrated real estate company focused on industrial properties across key U.S. markets is seeking a Senior Property Accountant. This role will support accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of industrial properties.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage the full property accounting cycle for an assigned portfolio of industrial assets.
  • Prepare monthly property financial statements, reporting packages, and supporting schedules.
  • Perform monthly close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reclassifications.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and tenant receivables schedules.
  • Analyze monthly results against budget, forecast, and prior periods; investigate variances.
  • Maintain accurate tenant accounting, including billings, rent escalations, and reimbursements.
  • Review lease abstracts and amendments for accurate financial record reflection.
  • Track capital projects, tenant improvements, and other project-related costs.
  • Assist with annual budgets, periodic forecasts, and cash-flow projections.
  • Review reporting from third-party property managers and coordinate with teams to resolve discrepancies.
  • Support quarterly and year-end reporting, audit requests, and tax workpapers.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen processes, documentation, controls, and reporting.
  • Participate in special projects and other accounting or finance initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Approximately 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience, including commercial real estate or property accounting.
  • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, month-end close, and financial statement preparation.
  • Experience with tenant accounting, lease-related activity, and property-level reporting.
  • Experience with Yardi, advanced Excel skills, and comfort working with large data sets.
  • Ability to analyze variances and communicate conclusions to stakeholders.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage recurring deadlines.
  • Experience with a real estate accounting platform or ERP system; public REIT experience is helpful but not required.
Compensation

Pay Rate: $50 - $60/hr
