Howard Hughes Communities is seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee property accounting and monthly/quarterly reporting for a diverse portfolio. You will apply GAAP to asset additions, disposals, depreciation, and allocations, while maintaining strong financial controls.

The role emphasizes close processes, lease and accounts management, and collaboration with auditors and lenders. This is a full-time, on-site position in The Woodlands, TX, with a focus on data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Proven ability to translate financial data into business solutions.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and related products; familiarity with AI tools is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Lead month-end close activities for a property portfolio with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Review payables, assess receivables for collectability, and analyze leases for recoveries.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits.
• Support lender reporting requirements and participate in special projects as needed.
