Job summary

Avenue5 is seeking an accounting manager to lead property accounting across multiple properties and collaborate with property managers and regional teams to ensure accurate financial execution.

Responsibilities include month-end close, journal entries, budgets, and developing controls. CPA is preferred; 3–5 years in accounting and property management required. Schedule is in-office, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
• CPA license preferred.
• Three to five years of accounting experience required.
• Three to five years of property management experience preferred.
• Direct management experience is required.
• Knowledge of GAAP in multi-family property management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and reconcile financial information, prepare journal entries, and assist with budgets.
• Drive month-end and year-end close processes and prepare financial reporting packages.
• Develop and maintain accounting controls, policies, and practices.
• Liaise for the year-end financial audit and ensure timely pre-close activities.
