Job summary

ALCO Management seeks an Accounting Manager to lead its property accounting operations, directing a team of Senior Property Accountants and Accountants to ensure accurate monthly closes, reconciliations, and timely reporting.

The role requires a detail-oriented professional with GAAP expertise and property management experience, capable of optimizing processes, supporting audits, and collaborating with managers across the organization to maintain strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience; property management or affordable housing preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and property accounting; LIHTC or HUD experience is a plus.
• Advanced Excel and MS Office proficiency; Yardi Voyager experience is a plus.
• Proven ability to supervise, coach, and develop team members.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly close and ensure deadlines are met.
• Review monthly financial statements and reconciliations.
• Supervise Property Accounting team and provide mentorship.
• Coordinate with managers to resolve accounting issues.
• Support audits and strengthen internal controls.
