Centennial is seeking a financial expert to manage a portfolio of properties with a focus on accurate monthly reporting and collaboration with property managers to improve operations.

You will handle transaction reviews, leasing inputs, ledgers, budgeting, and monthly reporting packages, ensuring GAAP compliance and timely closes. Strong communication and detail orientation are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master’s a plus.
• CPA or CPA Candidate preferred but not required.
• 5+ years of direct Commercial Property Accounting experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a drive for accuracy and deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and with teams under tight timelines.

Responsibilities

• Complete, review and research property management transactions and charges.
• Review lease language and input into accounting software.
• Maintain Rent Roll, Tenant Ledger, Aged Delinquency, and Lease Expiration reports.
• Maintain ledgers, balance sheets and income statements; prepare journal entries.
• Prepare and distribute monthly financial reporting packages and variance reports.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and perform GL accuracy checks monthly.
• Understand CAM Reconciliation process.
• Assist in annual operating budget development with the property management team.
• Prepare monthly construction draws and review job costs.
• Handle partnership accounting including service fees and journal entries.
• Review AP invoices for correct coding and documentation.
• Review daily cash receipts for proper documentation.
• Monitor cash requirements and supporting distributions as needed.
• Support other team members and participate in special projects as required.
