Job summary

Carleton Living is seeking a detail-oriented Property Accountant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will manage financial records, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and provide accurate reporting for multiple properties.

You will collaborate with property managers and stakeholders to maintain financial health and support budgeting and audits. Prior RealPage/Onesite experience is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in property accounting or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accrual accounting and cash flow analysis.
• Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team.
• Strong communication with stakeholders.
• Experience with RealPage/Onesite highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports for assigned properties.
• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
• Conduct cash flow analysis to monitor liquidity and financial stability.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts for property operations.
• Ensure compliance with accrual accounting principles and relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with legal teams regarding wills, trusts, and estate law as it pertains to property management.
• Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
