Job summary

Liberty Propane, Inc. is seeking a Propane Service Technician to install and maintain propane systems for homes, farms, and businesses. You’ll be the trusted expert delivering safe, reliable service and solving problems with hands-on work in various settings.

You will need a Class B CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements, 2–3 years in propane/HVAC, and strong communication and computer skills. This role includes on-call duties and offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent training and experience.
• 2–3 years of experience in propane, HVAC, or a related field preferred.
• Familiarity with propane systems, regulations, and industry standards.
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn propane systems and installation practices.
• Excellent communication skills, customer service orientation, and professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Install tanks adhering to state and local requirements including NFPA 58 and 54.
• Complete training and testing for required state licenses and certifications.
• Report incidents to General Manager.
• Maintain a Class B CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements as required.
• Seasonal Support: assist with deliveries by driving a delivery vehicle.
• Complete and submit service orders daily.
• Perform daily DVIR truck inspections.
• Document and bill for parts used; follow pricing proposals.
• Work safely in various environments and weather conditions.
• On-call responsibilities outside regular hours.
