Job summary

ThompsonGas seeks a Propane Service Technician to safely deliver, repair, and install propane systems and appliances. You will interact with customers, ensure code-compliant installations, and document reports on a tablet.

Responsibilities include tank delivery, trenching, piping, leak testing, and clear customer communication. Must have CDL in good standing and Hazmat endorsements; on-call rotations may be required.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL-A or CDL-B required.
• Tankers and Hazmat endorsements required.
• 2+ years of propane or related crossover experience (HVAC, Gas Fitting, Plumbing, Mechanic).
• Deep understanding of propane safety regulations and procedures.
• Capable of lifting propane tanks up to 75 lbs. and working in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Tank delivery and placement at customer sites using company vehicle.
• Dig trenches for underground propane lines per local codes.
• Cut, measure and install propane lines to tanks and appliances.
• Conduct leak detection and testing to ensure system integrity.
• Explain installation details to customers and address safety questions.
