Job summary

AmeriGas Propane, Inc. is seeking an Airborne Field Technical Facilitator to deliver high‑quality technical and safety training to field operations staff. The role includes classroom, lab, and field instruction, plus skills evaluations to develop competent propane drivers, service technicians, and plant operators.

Travel up to 80% will be required, with training conducted at COE and satellite locations to ensure content accuracy, regulatory compliance, and alignment with current field practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in propane field operations, including roles in delivery, service, or plant operations.
• CETP/PEP certification preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• CDL Class A or B preferred; must maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Working knowledge of NFPA 54 & 58; Smith System driving experience desired, not required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and lab‑based instruction covering propane operations, DOT/OSHA safety compliance, bobtail delivery, service technician, cylinder operations, and CETP/PEP certification programs to new hires and existing employees, with a safety‑first mindset.
• Assess learner competency through structured, hands‑on skills evaluations in either a lab or field setting; document results in the LMS and communicate outcomes to stakeholders.
• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) to review, update, and validate training materials for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain accurate training attendance, completion, and evaluation records in the LMS; monitor learner progress and generate reports.
• Gather and analyze learner feedback and assessment data to evaluate training effectiveness; provide recommendations to improve program quality.
