Job summary

Heller’s Gas is seeking a delivery technician to safely transport propane to customers, perform leak tests and safety checks, and install or remove propane tanks and gas appliances in outdoor field settings.

The role requires a valid Class B CDL with tanker, air brake, and hazmat endorsements, high school diploma or GED, and relevant service experience. You will inspect vehicles, educate customers on safe operation, and comply with all applicable laws and company standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Relevant experience preferred.
• Familiarity with computers or mobile devices used in service.

Responsibilities

• Transfer propane from bulk storage to truck and to customer tanks.
• Verify tank information upon delivery including serial number.
• Perform visual inspection of equipment and report issues.
• Continuous monitoring of truck tank levels to ensure adequate supply.
• Educates customers on safe operation, maintenance, and safety procedures.
• Installation and removal of propane tanks and gas-powered appliances.
• Prepare work orders, invoices and other documentation per standards.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
