Job summary

Boone County Development Agency seeks a Special Projects Foreman to plan, coordinate, and execute facility improvements, infrastructure and land management projects across the operation. You will lead capital projects, manage contractors, and drive efficiency, safety, and asset value while maintaining compliance with safety standards.

The role requires strong leadership, budgeting and scheduling skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a farming/industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in agriculture, construction, maintenance, or project management.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment, welding, mechanical systems, and facility maintenance.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency with budgeting and contractor coordination.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute facility improvements, infrastructure maintenance, equipment reliability initiatives, and land management across the operation.
• Lead capital projects, oversee preventative maintenance programs, manage contractors, and identify efficiency and safety improvements.
• Build and supervise teams; ensure projects meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Develop budgets, schedules, and timelines; monitor progress and adjust as needed.
• Coordinate with managers to minimize disruption to animal care and production.
