Job summary

Wharton-Smith, Inc. in Central Florida is seeking a Project Superintendent I to supervise field operations, lead onsite teams, and ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

The role requires 12+ years of construction management experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and current OSHA 30-Hour, First Aid/CPR, and competent person certifications. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or construction-related education preferred.
• Minimum of 12 years of construction-related, construction management, or construction engineering experience on multimillion-dollar projects.
• Proven leadership and supervisory experience managing field personnel, priorities, productivity, quality, and execution.
• Current OSHA 30-Hour certification.
• Current First Aid & CPR certification.
• Required training in Silica Safety, Risk Management, and Accident Investigation.
• Willingness to travel occasionally throughout Wharton-Smith territories.
• Must be available to work full-time in an exempt position, generally Monday through Friday, with additional hours as needed by project.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate permits, inspections, and subcontractor activities.
• Develop and manage project scheduling and field documentation.
• Mentor employees and support staffing on projects.
