Job summary

Wharton-Smith, Inc. is seeking a Project Superintendent II to lead field operations on Central Florida construction projects. You will supervise foremen, field engineers, and subcontractors, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time execution.

Responsibilities include coordinating daily field activities, managing documentation, and supporting project scheduling and budgeting. Strong leadership and communication are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or construction-related education preferred.
• Minimum of six (6) years of construction-related, construction management, or engineering experience.
• OSHA 30-hour certification, First Aid and CPR certifications, and applicable safety training required.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to manage field operations and personnel.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily field operations for assigned projects or portions of larger projects.
• Supervise and coordinate assistants, foremen, field engineers, subcontractors, and other field personnel.
• Maintain quality, productivity, and an organized work environment.
• Conduct pre-task meetings and coordinate project planning activities.
• Coordinate permits, inspections, site setup, temporary facilities, and site utilization.
• Manage field document control, daily reports, progress photos, project logs, and other required documentation.
• Manage smaller project budgets and monitor project costs.
• Develop and mentor foremen, assistants, and other field personnel.
