V2X Inc. in Beltsville, MD is seeking a Junior Project Specialist to monitor and manage projects through cradle-to-grave lifecycle within a fast-paced environment. Public Trust Clearance is required. Primary location at USDA GW Carver Center, Beltsville, MD.

You will identify requirements, track status, facilitate meetings, and prepare deployment and release documentation while coordinating with multiple teams. Strong communication and organization are essential.

• Experience: 1 year project management or related experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft SharePoint as a basic user.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and meeting facilitation abilities.

Overview

The Junior Project Specialist works as part of a team responsible for monitoring and managing projects through their entire lifecycle from Cradle-to-Grave in a fast-paced environment using the approved Project Tracking System. Public Trust Clearance Required. Primary location at USDA George Washington Carver Center (GWCC), Beltsville MD.

Responsibilities

• Identify customer requirements including scope and content.
• Secure work and release authorizations and coordinate with members of other teams to process work efficiently in order to meet established due dates utilizing both verbal and email communications.
• Maintain detailed status on assigned projects.
• Facilitate meetings and on-demand conference calls as needed, including Project Kickoff, Pilot and Production Readiness Reviews, and others needed to complete implementation of new and existing projects.
• Responsible for the creation of documentation related to the change and release requests including requirements, deployment plans, and release notices.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualification:
• High School plus 1 year of project management or related experience.
• Experience:
• 1 year project management or related experience.
• Required Skills:
• Proficient with Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft SharePoint as a basic user.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, good analytical skills, and capable of facilitating meetings involving groups of widely dispersed people.
• Self-starter who is a quick learner, organized, detail and process oriented.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact with staff and customers (at all levels) with high degree of professionalism.
• Preferred Skills:
• Demonstrable ability to provide excellent customer service.
• Experience in a ticketing system such as BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, or similar.
• Salary Range: $40,000 - $45,000.
• Clearance:
• Public Trust Clearance required.
• Working Environment:
• Core Business Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm. Core hours are established at the discretion of the Government and are subject to change at any time based on mission requirements.
• This position is a Hybrid Position following four (4) days/week to work from home and one (1) assigned day to work in the office.
• Will perform work at a government facility.
• Must be able to lift up to 20lbs.
