Job summary

V2X, Inc. in Beltsville, MD is seeking a Junior Project Specialist to monitor and manage projects through cradle-to-grave lifecycle in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a Public Trust Clearance and a hybrid schedule with four days working from home and one day in the office. You will gather requirements, coordinate with teams, track progress, prepare kickoff and readiness reviews, and generate change documentation for releases.

Qualifications

• High School diploma plus 1 year of project management or related experience.
• 1 year project management or related experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft SharePoint as a basic user.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, good analytical skills, and capable of facilitating meetings involving groups of widely dispersed people.
• Self-starter who is quick learner, organized, detail and process oriented.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact with staff and customers with high degree of professionalism.

• Responsible for the creation of documentation related to the change and release requests including requirements, deployment plans, and release notices.

The Junior Project Specialist works as part of a team responsible for monitoring and managing projects through their entire lifecycle from Cradle-to-Grave in a fast-paced environment using the approved Project Tracking System. Public Trust Clearance Required. Primary location at USDA George Washington Carver Center (GWCC), Beltsville MD.

• Experience in a ticketing system such as BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, or similar.
• Salary Range: $40,000 - $45,000.
• Clearance:
• Public Trust Clearance required.
• Working Environment:
  • Core Business Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm. Core hours are established at the discretion of the Government and are subject to change at any time based on mission requirements.
  • This position is a Hybrid Position following four (4) days/week to work from home and one (1) assigned day to work in the office.
  • Will perform work at a government facility.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20lbs.
