Job summary

Pike Corporation in Charlotte, NC is actively seeking a Project Controls Specialist / Scheduler to support engineering and construction across energy technologies. The role focuses on budgeting, forecasting and comprehensive project scheduling to ensure contract schedule adherence.

The candidate will generate executive reports, coordinate with engineers and managers, and travel to project sites within North America as required to drive project success through the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in the utility industry.
• Proven scheduling/management skills to develop accurate schedules and coordinate multidisciplinary meetings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain and progress project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Prepare monthly reports comparing baseline to progress schedule, including critical path, resource loading and costs.
• Ensure proper accounting and capital postings for reporting and budgets.
• Prepare, issue and present reports and mitigation strategies from critical path analyses.
• Provide scheduling support for all projects and align priorities with corporate objectives.
• Coordinate development and implementation of scheduling procedures for the group.
• Travel to project sites within North America as needed.
