We are building a new team due to growth at our client's request! There are 5-6 openings available ranging in experience from junior to senior level. Primavera P6 experience is highly desired. We are open to backgrounds in Accounting, Finance, Business, Engineering, etc.

Position Summary: The Project Controls Specialist works directly with Engineers, Project Managers, and Construction Managers supporting the engineering and construction of various energy technologies, including Wind, Solar, Energy Storage, Transmission Lines, Substations, Pipelines, and Combine Cycles. The Project Scheduler supports one or more projects by providing comprehensive financial support and implementing project management controls. Responsibilities include budgeting, forecasting, reporting, analysis, process improvement, and project settlement activities. The role oversees all project scheduling activities to meet contract schedule requirements and is a key member of the project scheduler/planner group, supporting innovative technologies and collaborating with various teams to ensure project success throughout the project lifecycle.

Essential Functions:

  1. Responsible for creating, maintaining, and progressing project schedules using Primavera P6 Software.
  2. Oversee preparation of monthly reports comparing baseline schedules to progress, including critical path, resource and cost loading, manpower, submittals, impact projections, and recovery plans.
  3. Ensure accurate accounting treatment and capital postings for reporting, variance explanations, and budget tracking.
  4. Prepare, issue, and present reports, and develop corrective and mitigation strategies based on critical path analysis.
  5. Prepare executive-level reports ensuring clarity, accuracy, and completeness.
  6. Provide scheduling support for all projects.
  7. Collaborate with resources to determine project priorities and work plans aligning with corporate objectives.
  8. Develop and implement procedures and processes for the scheduling group.
  9. Perform other related duties as assigned.
  10. Travel to project sites within North America as required.

Minimum qualifications include 0-3 years of experience in the utility industry, proven project scheduling and management skills, excellent communication, analytical, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
