AEP is seeking a Project Scheduler in Charleston, WV, to coordinate project activities and develop schedules for major projects. This role will be responsible for coordinating scope of work team activities and supporting the Project Managers (PMs). With some supervision, perform functions as a scheduler and/or commodity tracker for major projects. Develop, maintain, and analyze less complex scope of work schedules using the assigned system. Provide integrated cost-loaded, resource-loaded, and logic-driven schedules, as applicable. Perform schedule maintenance, collect progress data, develop and implement scope of work schedule/status reports, and provide accurate information to the scope of work execution team.

Technical Expertise: Effective time management, organizational skills, attention to detail, and goal achievement. Strong communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially complex spreadsheets.
Leadership and Guidance: Self-motivated, able to work independently, and collaborate well with others. Capable of performing current scheduling techniques and analyses.
Planning and Organization: Supportive of AEP policies and able to work overtime, including shift work and travel. Capable of performing physical duties at various sites.
Problem Solving and Initiative: Skilled in reviewing scope, client requirements, and project objectives to develop effective delivery strategies.
Business Awareness: Willing to perform site walkdowns, climb ladders, and be aware of hazardous conditions, including radiation safety for nuclear positions.
