Job summary

Renewable Energy Systems Ltd seeks a Project Safety Manager I to implement the RESSystem (SMS) on wind, solar, substation, transmission, or energy storage projects in the US or Canada. The role emphasizes coaching, safety program development, audits, incident investigations, and regulatory liaison with a focus on site safety plans and JHAs.

The candidate will lead safety discussions, manage incident reporting, and drive corrective actions, while maintaining safety metrics and ensuring compliance

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Construction Industry Safety experience required.
• Demonstrated ability to lead safety initiatives and audits.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Promotes safety culture through coaching, development, and training.
• Serves as SME and liaison for health and safety with project team and client.
• Leads audits, inspections, and incident investigations for safety compliance.
• Develops and maintains site-specific safety documentation (JHA, Site Safety Plan, Site Rules).
• Oversees Permit to Work processes and safety orientation.
• Delivers safety training on SMS requirements and regulatory standards.
• Leads safety discussions in POD, All Hands, Tailgate, and client/project meetings.
• Drives corrective actions from incidents and maintains safety metrics.
