Job summary

Renewable Energy Systems Ltd seeks a Project Safety Manager I to implement the SMS on wind, solar, substations, and energy storage projects in the US or Canada. You will lead safety initiatives, training, and audits, ensuring compliance with OSHA and client requirements.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in EHS, OSHA 30, 3+ years in construction safety, and willingness to travel 76-100%. The role offers full benefits and a base salary range noted in the posting.

Qualifications

• Promotes safety culture through coaching, development, and training.
• Acts as SME and liaison for health and safety for the project team and client.
• Serves as liaison to regulatory agencies during audits, inspections, and investigations.
• Develops and maintains site-specific documentation (SSP, Site Rules, ER Plan, JHA, Site Orientation).
• Oversees Permit to Work processes.
• Delivers training on SMS requirements and regulatory requirements.
• Leads safety discussions in POD, All Hands, Tailgate, and client meetings.
• Inspects work areas for compliance with procedures and regulations.
• Drives incident investigations to root cause and corrective actions.
• Maintains incident data and safety metrics; facilitates injury management.

Responsibilities

• Promote safety culture on project sites through coaching and leadership.
• Develop and maintain site-specific safety documentation and SOPs.
• Lead safety meetings and client communications.
• Conduct incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate PPE procurement and safety supplies; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage drug and alcohol testing procedures and safety audits.
