  • Experience in Quality Control and Quality Assurance roles.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, APQP or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within North America and internationally; valid passport; driver’s license.

  • Lead non-conformity resolution and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate customer audits and supplier quality programs.
  • Support installation quality activities with on-site teams.
  • Transfer quality documentation and lessons learned during handover to Operations.

Job description

  • Lead quality management activities throughout project execution
  • Ensure wind turbine deliveries and installations meet customer specifications and Nordex quality requirements
  • Act as the primary quality representative for customers
  • Support Sales during offer and tendering by reviewing customer quality requirements
  • Develop and manage Project Quality Plans for North American projects
  • Ensure contractual quality requirements are communicated and implemented throughout manufacturing and project execution
  • Monitor manufacturing quality deliverables and compliance with customer specifications
  • Lead management and resolution of significant non-conformities during transportation, installation, and commissioning
  • Ensure corrective actions are effectively implemented and verified for long-term resolution
  • Support quality improvement initiatives across project teams and suppliers
  • Coordinate customer audits and inspections
  • Manage audit actions and communicate progress with customers
  • Serve as quality focal point for customer claims and supplier-related quality issues
  • Support installation quality activities with on-site quality teams
  • Transfer quality documentation, lessons learned, and open items during handover to Operations & Maintenance teams
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support safe, successful project execution
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technical Studies, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Project Quality Management, Construction Management, Manufacturing, Plant Engineering, or related technical project environments
  • Experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, or quality-focused project roles
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, including ISO 9001, APQP, or equivalent methodologies
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple business functions and cultural environments
  • Experience within the wind energy industry or other utility-scale energy sectors
  • Training or certification in Six Sigma, FMEA, 8D, or other quality improvement methodologies
  • Experience working with supplier quality management and customer-facing quality programs
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively within North America and internationally as business needs require
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a valid passport
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain insurability under company policy
  • Must be able to meet specific OSHA and ANSI weight requirements of 265 pounds or less
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment physical evaluation and safely perform the physical requirements of the position
  • Commitment to safety protocols, procedures, regulations, and company policies
  • Proper use of applicable safety equipment
  • Speak and understand English fluently
