Job summary

Nordex is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Leader to drive North America materials and tooling strategies across multi-site projects. You will oversee inventory, warehousing, logistics, and tooling operations while ensuring governance and safety standards.

Responsibilities include budgeting, asset utilization, and leading cross-functional teams across Construction, Commissioning, Supply Chain, and Sourcing. A strong background in SAP and EPC-scale projects is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
  • 5+ years in materials management, supply chain, logistics, tooling, or industrial projects.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience.
  • Experience with large-scale construction or EPC projects.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control and asset management.
  • Proficient with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Ability to travel up to 35% domestically and internationally.
  • Fluent English communication; valid passport.

  • Present performance metrics and initiatives to senior leadership
  • Ensure safety compliance with standards and policies

Job description

  • Develop and execute North America materials and tooling strategies supporting business and project objectives
  • Lead inventory management, warehousing, logistics, and tooling operations across multiple project sites
  • Establish and maintain governance, policies, procedures, and performance standards
  • Oversee planning and availability of construction materials, spare parts, and tooling
  • Manage tooling lifecycle activities including procurement, inspections, certifications, maintenance, calibration, and replacement
  • Drive inventory accuracy through audits, cycle counts, reporting, and continuous improvement
  • Partner with Construction, Commissioning, Supply Chain, Logistics, Sourcing, and Global teams
  • Develop and manage operating and capital budgets
  • Monitor inventory valuation, tooling asset utilization, and cost performance
  • Lead warehouse operations and transportation strategies for domestic and international projects
  • Build, mentor, and develop high-performing teams
  • Identify operational risks and implement mitigation plans
  • Present business performance, key metrics, and strategic initiatives to senior leadership
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies
  • Support Nordex's mission to develop and deliver clean power plants powered by renewable energy
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in materials management, supply chain, logistics, tooling management, construction operations, or industrial project execution
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience managing teams, supervisors, and/or managers
  • Experience supporting large-scale construction, manufacturing, industrial, infrastructure, renewable energy, or EPC projects
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control, warehouse operations, transportation management, and asset management practices
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders across multiple business functions
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and cost control initiatives
  • Excellent analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel up to 35% domestically and internationally
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of and commitment to safety protocols and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
  • Proactively identify and mitigate potential safety hazards
  • Properly use applicable safety equipment, including eye protection, hearing protectors, steel-toe boots, and hard hats
  • Speak and understand English fluently
  • Driving is an essential function; must possess a full valid driver's license and be insurable under the auto insurance policy
  • Master's degree, MBA, APICS/ASCM certification, PMP, Lean, or Six Sigma certification preferred
  • Experience within renewable energy, wind energy, heavy industrial, or large-scale construction environments preferred
