H+M Industrial EPC seeks a Project QA/QC Lead to manage the QA/QC function from mobilization through turnover on a Pasadena, TX project. The role directs QC inspectors across trades, resolves technical questions, and ensures compliance with contract requirements, specifications, and codes.

The position requires 8+ years of field QA/QC experience with a lead role, AWS CWI certification, and strong leadership and communication skills to coordinate with clients and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of field QA/QC experience, including at least 3 years in a lead or supervisory role over QC inspectors.
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in civil, structural, pipe, mechanical, and welding trades; ability to identify trade-specific quality requirements.
• Working knowledge of ASME B31.3, ASME Section IX, AWS D1.1, API 1104.
• Strong written and oral communication and client-facing leadership skills.

Responsabilités

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Plan, QA/QC procedures, and ITPs.
• Review procedures for compliance with corporate and contract quality expectations.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and procedures; verify field work conforms to them.
• Lead, train, and assign work to project QC inspectors; manage staffing by trade and phase.
• Coordinate hold and witness points with client and schedule; ensure ITPs are executed and signed off.
• Oversee inspection of field conditions across trades; issue nonconformance reports and verify corrective action.
• Lead quality meetings and represent QA/QC in client/project meetings.
• Review third-party tests and NDE results for compliance.
• Verify welder qualifications and support monthly weld reject rate reporting.
• Own QA/QC budget, schedule, and manpower forecast; report metrics to leadership.
• Maintain quality records and assemble turnover/closeout packages.
