Job summary

Saulsbury Industries in Odessa, TX is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead the QA/QC program on our project sites. You will interpret quality requirements, supervise inspectors, and ensure conformance with ASME, API, ANSI, AWS, ASTM codes and standards.

Travel to sites and coordinate with vendors and HR to staff teams. The role requires strong leadership, auditing, and training skills, with a focus on safety, documentation, and continuous improvement across heavy industrial EPC

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in a similar QA/QC role in heavy industrial oil and gas.
• Experience with audit, inspection, and testing per project quality programs.
• Ability to interpret construction codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Interpret quality requirements and provide technical guidance for inspection, testing and QC activities.
• Supervise Quality personnel on audit, inspection, surveillance and testing.
• Coordinate with external agencies for qualification procedures and welder certifications.
• Staff project sites with competent Quality personnel in partnership with HR.
• Provide training on construction and QC programs to site personnel.
• Maintain QA/QC documentation and reports; lead internal audits.
• Develop welding processes with Engineering and evaluate new options.
