Key Project Requirements
- 8+ years of project scheduling and planning experience supporting power generation, energy, or large-scale infrastructure/construction projects.
- Strong Primavera P6 experience developing, maintaining, and analyzing detailed project schedules.
- Experience supporting projects through engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and turnover.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience considered. Ability to travel approximately 25%.
Job Summary
We are seeking a Project Planner / Scheduler to support a portfolio of large-scale power generation projects serving data center developments. This position will develop, maintain, and analyze integrated project schedules across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and turnover while working closely with project management, engineering, EPC contractors, and other project stakeholders.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, including project milestones, activities, dependencies, and resource requirements.
- Coordinate schedules across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and turnover activities.
- Monitor project progress against approved baseline schedules and identify schedule variances, delays, and critical path impacts.
- Perform schedule analysis and develop forecasts, recovery plans, and mitigation strategies for potential project delays.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, EPC contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to validate schedule status and upcoming activities.
- Track project milestones and key performance indicators and prepare schedule updates and reports for project leadership.
- Maintain accurate schedule documentation, including baseline changes, schedule revisions, progress updates, and supporting records.
- Support continuous improvement of project planning, scheduling, progress measurement, and reporting processes.
Job Requirements
- Advanced working knowledge of Primavera P6; Microsoft Project experience is beneficial.
- Strong understanding of project scheduling principles, critical path methodology, schedule development, and progress measurement.
- Ability to analyze complex project schedules and identify schedule risks, conflicts, and potential delays.
- Experience coordinating schedules across multiple project disciplines and external contractors.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
Education / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline preferred; equivalent relevant experience considered.
- 8+ years of project scheduling, planning, or project controls experience.
- Power generation, energy, EPC, or large infrastructure construction experience preferred.
- Data center project experience is highly desirable.
