Job description

Project Scheduler

We are seeking an experienced Project Scheduler to develop, maintain and optimize project schedules across utilities, life sciences, mission-critical, industrial manufacturing and renewable energy projects. The Project Scheduler will use Primavera P6 as the primary scheduling tool to produce integrated, resource- and cost-loaded schedules, perform critical path analysis, and provide schedule guidance to project teams and stakeholders to ensure on-time project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, baseline and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring alignment with project scope, milestones and contractual requirements.
• Create resource- and cost-loaded schedules; update progress regularly and reconcile schedule-to-cost changes with Project Controls.
• Perform critical path analysis, identify schedule risks and opportunities, and recommend mitigation actions to project management teams.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors and stakeholders to collect progress data and validate schedule logic and assumptions.
• Prepare and distribute regular schedule reports, dashboards and recovery plans; present schedule status to senior management and clients as required.
• Support change management by evaluating schedule impacts of change orders, scope changes and delays; update schedules and re-forecast completion dates.
• Integrate multiple discipline schedules into a master program schedule for multi-project and multi-site portfolios (utilities, life sciences, mission critical, industrial manufacturing, renewable energy).
• Assist Project Controls with governance, schedule audits, Earned Value Management (EVM) inputs and compliance with corporate scheduling standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on scheduling experience on large capital projects; proven track record in utilities, life sciences, mission-critical, industrial manufacturing or renewable energy sectors.
• Advanced proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6 (required); experience with Primavera P6 Professional and P6 EPPM is a plus.
• Strong understanding of CPM scheduling techniques, critical path analysis, resource/cost loading and schedule risk management.
• Experience working with Project Controls teams, including schedule reconciliation, EVM data integration and schedule governance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and schedule reporting tools; experience with data visualization and schedule analytics preferred.
• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or related discipline or equivalent practical experience.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and presentation skills; ability to influence across multi-disciplinary teams and remote stakeholders.
• Nice to have: experience with Primavera P6 advanced modules, prior Data Center project scheduling experience, and familiarity with broader Project Controls processes and tools (scheduling standards, dashboards, document control).
