This position reports to

Project Operations Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will play an essential part in the growth of the business by providing a cohesive project management strategy to ensure project profitability, risk mitigation, issue resolution, and process excellence, contributing to a positive customer experience. You will coordinate and oversee team development and standardized processes to continually enhance the effectiveness of Project Execution teams. The work model is hybrid, based in Houston, TX, or Lake Mary, FL, and contributes to the Electrification Distribution Solutions division in North America.

You will be mainly accountable for:

1. Leading a team of project managers in executing projects, ensuring compliance with ABB codes of conduct, contract scope, technical requirements, timely delivery, quality, project profitability, and cash collection.
2. Implementing continuous improvements in the project execution strategy for local or regional operations.
3. Developing customer relationships through close contact with clients and project stakeholders, resolving issues, and identifying opportunities for additional business. Ensuring contract completion, customer satisfaction, and financial targets are met.
4. Overseeing and leading the local Project Execution team, ensuring adherence to ABB policies.

Qualifications for the role

• 5+ years of experience in operational or customer-facing roles
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering preferred
• Strong leadership and relationship-building skills
• Ability to travel domestically about 25% of the time
• PMP certification preferred
• Existing work authorization to work in the US is required
