Job summary

Datawatch Systems is seeking a Project Manager (Bethesda, MD area) to coordinate installation projects from pre-site through completion. The role interfaces with sales, clients, third-party vendors, and our Program management team to ensure on-time delivery and quality work.

Schedule is 7 am–3 pm, Monday–Friday. The candidate should have extensive experience with commercial access control, video systems, and low voltage wiring, plus knowledge of relevant codes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience installing commercial access control and video systems.
• Knowledge of building, fire, and life safety codes for construction/electrical systems.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; electronics/electrical certs desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-installation site visits with sales to define scope.
• Coordinate with installation manager, client, and permitting team on timeline and milestones.
• Supervise installation activities including cable pulling, conduit installation, and terminations.
• Provide weekly updated project reports.
• Stay informed on new services, technology, and internal processes.

Overview

The Project Manager interacts directly with the installation manager, client, client representatives, third party vendors, and our Program management team throughout the installation process.

Responsibilities include ensuring projects are completed successfully, on schedule, and the work performed meets or exceeds client expectations.

Schedule is 7 am - 3 pm, Monday - Friday.

Salary Range

• Salary Range: $38. - $45.00/hour

Responsibilities

• Pre-installation job site visits with sales team to assist with generating proper scope of work
• Communicate with the installation manager, customer service, and permitting team, and client on project timeline and milestones
• Supervise and assist installation on pulling cable, rough in, installing conduit, terminate cables at device and headend.
• Provide updated project manager reports weekly
• Stays up to date and knowledgeable on new services, technology, and internal processes/procedures.

Qualifications

• 10 or more years' experience installing:
• commercial access control, video systems, low voltage, and commercial wiring/cabling OR
• Knowledge of building, fire, and life safety codes pertaining to construction and electrical systems
• High School diploma/GED preferred
• Technical/Trade/Vocational school certificate in electronics/electrical is desirable
• Strong electronics knowledge/background (AC/DC theory, series and parallel circuits, open/close loops) and ability and knowledge to use digital volt meters
• Knowledge of IP, Ethernet, and networking protocol and CAT5 technologies preferred

• Must be able to meet and maintain various certifications, licenses, and/or registrations, in accordance with applicable state laws and as required by the electronic security regulations in the state (s) worked.
• Must be willing to participate in and pass the company's pre-employment screening process including a background investigation and drug screening.
• Must continue to maintain a safe driving record and valid driver's license to fulfill the travel requirements of this position.
