Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Project Manager for its Energy & Resources group to lead multi-discipline teams on thermal generation projects across North America. The role includes owner’s engineer or detailed design duties for simple cycle, combined cycle, and repowering projects, with a focus on client service, risk management, and business development.

The successful candidate will have 15+ years in power generation, 5+ years in business development, and a PE license preferred.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering or related field.
• 15+ years experience on power generation projects (Owner’s Engineer or detailed design).
• 5+ years in business development or seller-doer role.
• PE registration preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide project management expertise to multi-discipline teams.
• Lead energy projects and programs, ensuring alignment with frameworks.
• Coordinate with leadership, discipline leads, and clients to meet objectives.
• Mentor staff, support proposals, and drive client satisfaction.
• Manage resources, schedule, budget, and quality; identify gaps and remediate.
