Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a Project Manager to lead smaller projects or parts of larger programs, ensuring schedules and deadlines are met. The role includes client liaison, budget oversight, and cross-functional coordination to keep scope on track.

The position requires a four-year engineering degree and at least five years of experience, with strong negotiation, communication, and leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• Four-year engineering degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years’ experience
• Proven ability to manage small teams
• Strong negotiation skills
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
• Strong financial acumen
• Excellent project management skills
• Experience managing subcontractors
• Strong computer skills, including CAD, ERP and Microsoft Office products such as Excel

Responsibilities

• Develops client relationships by providing project status updates to client and leadership.
• Manages budget reports, cost and revenue projections, change orders, etc. for project.
• Participates in project meetings with internal departments.
• Partners with stakeholders to ensure scope and direction of project is on schedule.
• Develops budget analysis reports, cost and revenue projections, change orders and other reports as necessary.
• Delegates work and serves as mentor to Project Engineers; provides coaching and performance feedback as necessary.
