Job summary

Southland Industries in Pflugerville, Texas, is seeking a Project Manager/Engineer to lead smaller projects or portions of larger programs. You will coordinate schedules, budgets, and team performance to ensure deadlines are met.

You will build client relationships, prepare status and budget reports, and represent the project in cross-functional meetings. A strong financial acumen, communication skills, and hands-on PM experience are essential.

Qualifications

• A four-year engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum five years of project management experience.
• Proven ability to manage small teams.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Excellent financial acumen and budgeting experience.
• Solid project management and reporting abilities.
• Experience managing subcontractors.
• Proficiency with CADD, ERP, and Microsoft Office (Excel).

Responsibilities

• Develop client relationships by providing project status updates to client and leadership.
• Manage budget reports, cost and revenue projections, change orders for the project.
• Participate in project meetings with internal departments.
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure scope and direction stays on schedule.
• Develop budget analysis reports and other reports as necessary.
• Delegate work and mentor Project Engineers with coaching and feedback.
