Job summary

Southland Industries seeks a Project Manager to lead smaller projects or portions of larger programs in our Ohio office. You will ensure schedules and deadlines are met, develop client relationships, manage budgets and change orders, and coordinate with internal teams.

As a mentor to Project Engineers, you’ll coach performance, support subcontractor management, and drive successful project delivery with strong financial acumen and communication.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Engineering, or applicable experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience.
• Proven ability to manage small teams.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
• Strong financial acumen.
• Excellent project management skills.
• Experience managing subcontractors.
• Strong computer skills, including CADD, ERP and Microsoft Office Products, such as Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage smaller projects or portions of larger, complex projects.
• Develop client relationships by providing project status updates to client and leadership.
• Manage budget reports, cost and revenue projections, change orders, etc. for project.
• Participate in project meetings with internal departments.
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure project scope and direction is on schedule.
• Develop budget analysis reports, cost and revenue projections, change orders and other reports.
• Delegate work and mentor Project Engineers; provide coaching and performance feedback.
