Job summary

QTS Realty Trust is seeking a Development Project Manager – Q-Systems to lead design, pre-construction and construction activities for multiple data center projects. You will interact daily with installation contractors, design consultants, engineers, commissioning agents, vendors and data center operations staff.

Strong communication and teamwork are essential to succeed in this role. The position requires a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 8+ years of experience in building controls,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Technology, Science or Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Eight or more years of professional experience in building controls, security, and/or low voltage commercial design and construction practices and procedures.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects on multiple campuses and oversee design / implementation budgets, schedules, and status reports for each.
• Review project design to ensure compliance with QTS system standards and Basis of Design documents.
• Review system installation to ensure compliance with system design.
• Oversee commissioning efforts to confirm systems operate in compliance with QTS system standards, Basis of Design and design documents.
• Implement and manage multi-phased site development plans to achieve time, budget, and quality standards in a predictable fashion.
