Job summary

QTS Data Centers is seeking a Development Program Manager (Q-Systems: Connectivity) to lead design, pre-construction and construction activities across multiple data center campuses. You will coordinate with facilities, contractors, engineers, and vendors, and ensure schedules and budgets align with project goals.

The role requires a technology-driven mindset, 8–10+ years in mission-critical delivery, and strong communication skills to present updates to executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Engineering or Construction Management field or equivalent professional experience.
• 8-10+ years of experience with delivery of mission critical data center facilities.
• 8-10+ years of experience with management of technology design, implementation and project management.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite, specifically PowerPoint for executive updates and Excel to create and maintain budgets.
• US Citizenship for this position is required by law due to federal customer contracts.
• Be able to travel up to 50% of the time; travel expected every other week for 2-3 days.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage design, pre-construction and construction activities on a given project.
• Program level support for network infrastructure deployments across our portfolio.
• Coordinate with QTS network infrastructure and technology teams to meet facility needs.
• Support our Q-Systems team with network infrastructure coordination.
• Establish project schedules and manage teams to on-time completion.
• Review project designs to ensure compliance with QTS system standards and Basis of Design documents.
• Create updates on development program and project status for executive reviews.
• Implement and manage multi-phased site development plans and campus master planning.
• Write scopes of work for design, construction, commissioning services and participate in procurement and cost estimates.
• Evaluate pricing proposals for design, construction and commissioning services.
• Develop relationships with key stakeholders and represent QTS Q-Systems in meetings.
• Collaborate with internal teams to enhance project management processes.
