Job summary

QTS Realty Trust is seeking a Development Project Manager – Q-Systems to lead and manage design, pre-construction and construction activities for multiple data center projects. You will coordinate with contractors, consultants and operations to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while upholding QTS standards.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in technology/engineering and 8+ years in building controls or low voltage construction, with travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Technology, Science or Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• Eight or more years of professional experience in building controls, security, and/or low voltage commercial design and construction practices and procedures from conceptual development through procurement to close out.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
• Be able to travel up to 50% of the time.
• Average travel anticipated to be every other week for 2-3 days.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects on multiple campuses and oversee design / implementation budgets, schedules, and status reports for each.
• Review project design to ensure compliance with QTS system standards and Basis of Design documents.
• Review system installation to ensure compliance with system design.
• Oversee commissioning efforts to confirm systems operate in compliance with QTS system standards, Basis of Design and design documents.
• Implement and manage multi‑phased site development plans to achieve time, budget, and quality standards in a predictable fashion.
