Job summary

Alexander Associates Technical Recruitment is seeking a Project Engineer or Project Manager for a well established engineering consultancy in Houston. The role delivers municipal infrastructure projects across roadway, drainage, water, wastewater and site development in Harris County and surrounding areas.

The salary ranges from $110,000 to $145,000 depending on experience and licensure. A strong candidate will have a Civil Engineering degree, EIT or Texas PE license as appropriate, and 2–6

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• EIT certification required for Project Engineer applicants.
• Texas Professional Engineer license required for Project Manager applicants.
• Approximately 2–6 years of relevant civil engineering experience.
• Previous Public Works or municipal infrastructure experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Understanding of local agency standards and permitting requirements.
• Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with Houston-area municipalities would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction plans and technical specifications for public infrastructure projects.
• Support the planning and design of roadway, drainage, water and wastewater improvements.
• Complete engineering calculations, technical analyses and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with municipalities, utility providers and regulatory authorities.
• Assist with or take responsibility for project schedules, budgets and deliverables.
• Support permitting, agency reviews and municipal approval processes.
• Conduct site visits and review construction progress.
• Prepare technical reports, exhibits and supporting documentation.
• Work alongside engineers and designers to develop practical engineering solutions.

The successful candidate will help deliver municipal infrastructure projects across roadway, drainage, water, wastewater and site development throughout Harris County and the surrounding areas.
