Job summary

Alexander Associates Technical Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a growing civil engineering consultancy to appoint a Civil Project Engineer to its Site Development team in Houston. The role offers responsibility for the technical design and coordination of private and public development projects, with exposure to clients, project management and junior team leadership.

Salary: $105,000-$150,000, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Active Texas Professional Engineer license required.
• At least four years of site or land development experience.
• Strong AutoCAD Civil 3D capabilities.
• Knowledge of local permitting and design requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare civil engineering plans, reports and technical studies for development projects.
• Complete detailed grading, drainage, utility and stormwater design.
• Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to produce construction plans and project deliverables.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets and supporting personnel.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, consultants and regulatory authorities.
• Review environmental, geotechnical, traffic and other supporting reports.
• Manage designers and junior engineers working on project deliverables.
• Support construction administration, including submittals, RFIs and site visits.
• Conduct quality reviews throughout each phase of project delivery.
• Assist with proposals, client relationships and business-development activities.
